Disruption in the body’s circadian rhythm can lead not only to obesity, but can also increase the risk of diabetes and heart disease.
This is a very, very important study. For me, here's the take home: Stop eating early in the evening and extend your period of evening fasting. Turn off all those overhead lights in your home when it gets dark and allow your body to sense the evening time. Try not to overstimulate yourself with computer, TV, etc...late into the night. Allow your body to re-establish its planetary rhythm by getting sleepy early and waking with the sun. That's what Ben Franklin advised, and who would argue with Ben?
