Now that LeBron is back in Cleveland you're going to get sick of hearing me talk about the Cavaliers and their trials and tribulations. But bear with me, because sports resembles life in many ways and there is much to learn from the best of it.
This video clip from last night records LeBron's reaction to losing the third game of this young basketball season. The Cavs were blown to bits by the Portland Trailblazers, losing by more than 20 points. But LeBron's stated goal has been to rebuild the Cavs into a team on which multiple highly-talented players can learn to win by giving up the ball and playing unselfishly. He has said from the beginning that this would be a very difficult process and one that would pose an extreme challenge. His reaction to the loss is recorded here. Click to view.
Long term processes that few people successfully accomplish take extreme grit, focus and determination. The life-changing process you are attempting by trying to permanently alter your eating habits and way of life is one of those very tough, and rarely achieved challenges. You will be frustrated. You won't always like the process. Listen to LeBron and stay in the game.
